Infoblox announces new
WinConnect appliance offering for IPAM (IP
Address Management). This solution integrates
with existing Microsoft DNS/DHCP systems
without installing any agents on the Microsoft
servers. This offering provides simplified GUI
interface for managing existing Microsoft
environments and adds new functionality
including:
- Historical address tracking
- Delegated authority (including R/W or Read Only)
- Alerting on address space thresholds
- Audit trails for compliance concerns
- Additional fields/tags for tracking asset tags and other information
Most IT shops still use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for managing their TCP/IP address space. This solution includes discovery, management and reporting for existing Microsoft based environments.
