1. Do I need software or a server for the monitoring? [+]
   Basically, no. It depends how you want to monitor. The sensors include the ability to send Email alerts or SNMP traps. Of course you can also poll them with SNMP reads. These are self contained devices that can sit on the network for alerting or polling based monitoring.
2. Which model do I need? [+]
   It depends if you want to add additional sensors or work with existing devices that are relay based. There are units for analog or digital connections and different amount of sensor expansion options.
3. What if I want hundreds or more of these sensors? [+]
   Contact us for easy and affordable management software for hundreds or thousands of sensors. Make sure to ask us for volume discounts on the sensors too.
4. I have battery backup UPS systems, why do I care? [+]
   Because that will make sure your computers fry to a crisp without additional monitoring! UPS systems are used to power servers, storage and networks during a power outage, but often don't include air conditioning during a power loss. It's important to provide multiple temperature sensors to check for hot spots, temperature increases due to failed AC (air conditioner units), loss of air flow or even smoke. Ideally these sensors should have additional phone based outbound calling in the event that EMail or network connectivity is lost.
