Juniper Networks offers LAN acceleration products to accelerate the data center. These solutions might be used to accelerate external commerce applications on sluggish or overloaded in-house web based applications, such as CRM, Databases, HR, Inventory, etc.

Juniper does this by:
  • Accelerating web applications through web server offloading and HTTP compression
  • Replacing multiple point products with a single, optimized HTTP/S acceleration and server load balancing (SLB) platform
  • Addressing performance, security and availability requirements without compromise
  • Providing scalable platforms by incrementally adding functionality to address escalating data center acceleration requirements

The migration toward web-enabled applications is driving the development and adoption of a new class of devices that go far beyond Layer 4 through 7 load balancers, SSL terminators, caches and other data center point products in capability and performance. These data center application acceleration platforms, exemplified by the Juniper Networks DX platforms, combine networking performance with server intelligence to help enterprises, both large and small, web-enable their business-critical applications to provide universal access while improving web site performance, security and availability.

In addition to improving performance, the DX application acceleration platforms can replace the complex array of point products that crowd the data center, providing greater application flexibility, accessibility, cost savings and ease of management.
